I haven't tried a lot now, seems like we have new artisans hitting the community daily, not a bad thing.
I would suggest Cold River Soap Works for anyone looking for a great soap.
    I'll take some notes here.

No, I'd like to try Barber Shop. I have Mike's Coconut.

Never tried Mitchell's but I regularly use the other three. B&M makes a number of excellent scents and they all lather exceptionally well. I use their Bay Rum a lot. Captain's Choice also makes excellent soaps, balms and after shaves. Their Bay Rum (you may have guessed I love the bay rum scent in general) is probably the best I have tried. Their Sandalwood is very nice as well. Cella is a favorite of many folks including me - smells like almonds and cherries. Great lather. Only thing I don't like is that it comes in a small container. Give them all a try.

Never tried Arko. Maybe one of these days...

Y'know, my very first shave soap featured Coconut. Came from Stephan. It was a very nice feeling, as I recall, but it could well have been called "Shredded Pepper Soap". I have to try another Coconut to get used to it.

MDC is IMHO the best of the best and should be tried by everyone at least once.
ABC comes a close second for the lather, but the fact that you run through it so quickly puts it behind MDC.

Check under your couch cushions and you might be able to scrounge up enough change. :angelic007:

TOBS is a great cream. I have never tried their soaps. I have been completely stuck on Stirling soaps.

I have tried most of the artisans mentioned on the forums, but there are a couple I haven't tried like: MDC, Talbot, Bufflehead, Holy Black, Prarie Creations, SMG, Stubble Trouble, Fuzzy Face, Long Rifle, and a few others.

So many soaps so little time. Makes one wish there were more than 1 shave per day.

I'm interested in Long Rifle in the future. Prairie Creations, huh? Need to look that one up.

Mitchell’s Wool Fat! I kept passing this one up last year because I hear great things and terrible things about this soap there’s not a lot of in between. I’d love to see if it’s really that hard to lather.

Arko...I have no idea why I haven't. Also, nothing from Stirling or Taylor of Old Bond Street.

Haslinger is some seriously underrated soap. Their scents aren’t very strong. The performance however is fantastic.

It's not hard to lather at all. Urban myth. It's great soap, don't be afraid to try it.
