Hi TSD, I inherited a straight razor from my grandfather that I can't find much info about online. It reads "Premier Lifetime U.S.A. 577" on the case with "Premier Lifetime U.S.A." and "For the expert barber" on either side of the razor itself. "ESO 660" is hand written on the case. From my brief research I found that most of the premier straight razors were rebadged Solingens made in Germany, but this one says USA. Any idea who might have made this, and when? The corner is chipped and I don't intend to use it, for my collection only. The case smells like bay rum
Many "Barber Supply" houses imported Solingen blades for sale in the US It is not uncommon at all to have a German razor marked USA for the Distributor I have honed a couple marked Premier Lifetime over the years, and others that were marked Esso maybe the same ??? all were solid shavers
