The proraso Aftershave splash is a mentholated aftershave that provides a reamrkably cool effect after shaving. It doesn't dry out my skin as other alchol based aftershaves does and I think it can be attributed to the allantoin that acts moisturizing. Personally I love the scent which has a strong presence of menthol. When applied it almost feels prickling and is very refreshing. It is the perfect companion to the Proraso Pre/After shave cream and the green Proraso shaving cream. A must for any decent medicine cabinet!
Very nice AS splash I have been wanting to try this for along time and finally got my chance. Wow! This stuff is very nice! Cooling but not Osage style. Pleasant and not overbearing scent. Does not interfere with colognes and does a damn good job at soothing and all that. Another great product from Proraso!
Burn: More than Brut, about on par with Aqua Velva Moisturizing: Not bad, actually. Absorption: excellent. Cooling: much less than I expected, but still pretty good. Again on par with AV. Soothing: Not bad, actually! I was still left wanting more, but have had much worse. Healing: excellent. Proraso contains Witch Hazel, which I think helps in this area. Price: well, I paid $25 to have a 400mL bottle shipped over from Italy, so at a cost of $6.25/100mL, I'd say Proraso is pretty darn cheap! Scent: Good longevity. Style more new-school cologne than old-school aftershave, IMHO. Potent, not subtle. CONCLUSION: I don't know if I'm the biggest fan of the scent, which is pretty strong and long-lasting compared to some. Excellent healing and pretty-good moisturizing properties, though, make this one a keeper. If you like the scent, this one could be in your top five for daily use.
