I'm good on blades for atleast half a decade. There will always be blades to purchase, I'm not worried. Sent from my SM-A526U using Tapatalk
I thought I read this on one of the other shave forums a few months ago? But wasn’t sure if it was true Guess it is will have to get some more now as I’m not sure if the quality will be as good. After they switch factories
fraid so..interesting article.. https://www.badgerandblade.com/forum/threads/king-c-gillette-blades-now-made-in-china.644572/page-3
If they use the Russian factory equipment to make them they might be ok, with good QC too. Sent from my SM-A526U using Tapatalk
If this is true, it is a long time coming. I love the Russian blades, but, due to politics and social unrest in Russia, I'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner. Then again, if money can be made, politics can be put aside for a while. This potential shortage, and stoppage in quality Russian blades will not effect me, for the next 50-100 years, if not longer. I have several thousand premium DE blades, and hundreds of Straight razors. So many blades, so few Whiskers.
I enjoy those Saint Petersburg blades and I believe it's their steel & heat treatment + QC that just makes it a better blade than the average blade out there on the world market. Oh well there will be other countries who will enjoy the old line of blades coming their way it seems. Someone recently said that Gillette Astra SP blades are made in India.
i know i have over 3500 ish so not too worried.so 10 years if i use a new blade every day..1 a week,67 years
