My favorite Pumpkin Pie recipe actually uses a little canned squash. If that recipe; then Pumpkin. Otherwise, sweet potato.
I'm gonna go with Sweet Potato Pie, only when its done right; damn tasty. I guess I'm weird I have never really been a big fan of Pumpkin or even Pecan Pie.
I like both. Maybe I should've made this pro-pumpkin/anti-pumpkin. That's more like the discussion from yesterday. The sweet potatoers didn't like pumpkin.
Pumpkin. To be honest, I can't remember the last time, if ever, I had a taste of sweet potatoe pie. Wo knows? I just might prefer it over pumpkin. I do like sweet potatoes, though. Coming out of the oven all hot with lots of little marshmellows. mm-mm-mm!
Sweet Tater All The Way! I Am All About Pie! I use Justin Wilson's (God Rest His Soul) recipe whenever I make the SPP.
Sorry JoAnna, I can't be so polarized over the options given. It's hard to find grey when its all orangish I eat plenty of both; TWGW being a vegetarian, we eat quite a bit of both rather frequently ( a few each a month in one form or another). I'm so very much on the fence.
Since those were my only choices, I went with Sweet Potato. Now if Key Lime or Coconut Cream were up there!
Between the pumpkin, key lime, and coconut that we had this weekend; honestly the key lime was the best. But that was far from the best pumpkin. Even mustard wouldn't have helped/hurt much
For me it's pumpkin without hesitation. Part of the ease of this decision is that I've never had sweet potato pie. Sweet potato caserole, though, is wonderful.
Since both wasn't listed as an option, I went Sweet Potato. The places I grew up didn't have much sweet potato pie, so I didn't try it until I was an adult. I was instantly hooked.
