    Beertje Pippeloentje

    The Little Bear Pippeloentje {pronounced something like Pipple-oont-yuh, just listen :) }

    The first verse tells Pippeloentje hasn't got a lot.
    No footwear, no clothes, no underwear or nightwear.
    But.. he has a cap!

    In the second verse Pippeloentje doesn't do anything.
    He doesn't walk in the park, play with his marbles, run, play hopscotch, write, draw bear putppets, or glide down the handrail of the stairs.
    But... he eats his porridge!

    Give the bear a little kiss,
    Good night Pippeloentje.



    It was written by Annie Schmidt, a famous Dutch author who wrote tons of children's books (and plays, and theatre songs and...). All in a nice and sweet atmosphere.
