so suppose I would like to have a place to put my brush, razor and mug of soap...... You know, like a stand or something. I envision a slot to hang my brush; another slot for my razor, and a place for the mug (maybe even a little storage box for used and new razors, all on a Lazy Susan type turntable base. Anyone sell those? Anyone wanna work with me to design and create one???? I picture a wooden unit. By the way.........apparently these type of display racks for bathrooms are not "common."
Grabbed a few picuters here and there. My buddy that is turning me a brush said we could make a stand after baseball season. I love the first one. Wouls hold everything i use and be out of the way. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
I like the first one too!! Is it available for purchase, or just a concept piece?? Needs a place for new and used blades.
We are going to build it. I snapped these from websites when I was looking for a stand. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
So that means, if you got those pictures from websites, then there are already some of these types of things in circulation. I'm gonna work on one that's more of a Lazy Susan design. With built-in razor blade pockets for new and used blades.
Ive seen people use old pipe stands as well. I plan to use the top one as a concept for a build Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Here is a project I did a few years ago. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/updated-razor-rack-number-9.18901/
This is what I put together in my bathroom. We found the rack or shelf at Goodwill. Or you can use a cigar box like this one. Sent from my QTAQZ3 using Tapatalk
Wow....what a great thread! I love making things myself. Those gorgeous and practical racks, combined with a lazy Susan concept have my wheels spinning! Thanks to all for posting such neat ideas and pics!
I like the cigar box. I recently picked up an empty one and am looking for ideas for how to fit it out for razor storage.
Tack four of them together, side by side in a rectangle, with the covers opening "up," and stand the whole thing on end..........set it on a counter top in the bathroom, and fill the boxes with stuff (Razors, brushes, blades)
That top one is from a seller on Etsy. You can search for razor stands, there are a lot of options, wood and metal. Nothing that rotates though that I'm aware of. Goodwill and other thrift shops would be a good place to start.
This guy makes some of the best stuff I've ever seen. One of these days... https://www.etsy.com/shop/DesignByWood?ref=l2-shopheader-name
I have 2 woodworking friends both offered to help me make a version of this. It would be perfect for me! Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
