One thing I wasn't too keen on was that I didn't have anywhere to place my razor that I just used while it dries out, except flat on the counter or perched at an angle in my lather cup. I started looking around and I found something that works great for me. At Sears, I found this-- Interdesign toothbrush/razor holder It was super cheap--Right now they are only $3.19 each, and my vintage Gillette fit in there great. The overall height is 4-1/8" and the top opening is 7/8" My Gillette fat boy E2 sits in there with the bottom of the head sitting about 3/16" above the top of the chrome spirals. My shortest razor, a Gillette English rocket, rests it's head on the top of the spirals. I found this online, but it was in stock only at one store in my area... happily it was the one near work. I couldn't resist buying two. I hope this helps someone for counter top storage for your daily razor. I think It's going to be a much better solution for me.
Cool... that's an efficient "design" for what is merely coiled wire. I'm getting my 1st razors this week and overlooked this item. However, I need something that will support (3) razors and is space efficient to boot. Nice find and thanks for posting.
Look at the holder in this thread.... It's only fallen once, and I had 10 razors on it. Now I only keep 1-3, depending....
Each of the holders had a tag on it. These were made in China, brought to the USA by Interdesign, Inc as their model "96222 BOING 2 TB/RAZOR HOLDER". They do have a contact address, email & phone number to their company on their website -- www.interdesignusa.com . They may be able to lead you to a source. Sorry I can't help you any more-- but that's more than you can get from the Sears website link.
