hi guys can you give me some info into what oil i should use on my straight razors when i have them put to one side for a while to stop them rusting ,and to keep them ready for my rotation any advice would be helpfull thanks.p.s. i would like to use a oil i would not have to wipe of when im going to use the razor chears:
No oil is required if you store them in a dry place. I would only oil razors if I put them aside for a year or longer.
:hi guys thanks for info its just that i heard that some guys put oil of cloves on thair razors and it does not nead to be wiped of the blade before use also smells good but i dont no about that i just want to keep my ever growing collection in good order,as the razors hear in u.k. ar not cheap.thats the shave ready one i mean.
camelia oil. A lot of woodworkers use this to protect their tools from rust. or this stuff http://www.ballistol.com/
Camellia oil (from the tea plant) has been traditionally used as a sword oil in Japan. I would imagine that it would be a good choice.
