A lot of the high end and mid market companies plug gaps in their ranges by rebranding other manufacturers items, which shaving items (brushes/razors/creams/soaps) are known to be rebranded? Omega - Proraso CO Bigelow - Proraso Crabtree and Evelyn Brush - Edwin Jagger Edwin Jagger DE Heads - *Previously Merkur Kent Shave Cream - Mitchells Wool Fat
It's hard to know which came first, or which is rebranded, but I'd say: The Real Shaving Company cream=The Body Shop Cream Oh, and Soylent Green=People
Gee, did not know that about Kent, I like their shave cream. Any idea why companies allow re-braning? I guess they are not sure if they can sell the product under their own name.
Not sure about the shave CREAM, but the Kent SOAP is definitely MWF (per Vanessa Peters at Kent Brushes). Jim, you are really dating yourself here!! Too bad I remember it too! Remember the movie about the friendly aliens who visited Earth? They even had a book called "How to Serve Mankind". Turns out it was a COOKBOOK! :eatdrink047
Ahh, memory fades...it wasn't a movie, it was a Twilight Zone episode! What do you expect, it's been about 45 years!
The Real Shaving Company is manufactured by Creightons, a contract manufacturer, and Body shop uses a lot of contract manufacturer's to produce their products.
As far as I know Creightons made stuff for T&H,TOBS,TBS,Natural Grooming,Real Shaving Company...not to bad isnt it?
Oh yes, I remember, but not because I was there...Not QUITE old enough to remember Twilight Zone episodes in original broadcast. I actually read the story before I saw the episode. I'm a bit of a SF nut, and my youth was spent neck deep in classic SF collections.
