Years ago, we sold this product in our hardware & appliance store. We were service agents for Remington (before the Energizer buy out). Most customers liked it. I tried it out and found it really didn't work for me.
someone bought that one for the starting bid of $4.99 http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Remingt...324?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f780aba4 i started to bid on it til i read on the back of the packaging that a battery was already installed. that kinda scared me knowing that the battery has been sitting in that thing for 20+ yrs and it was not returnable. good luck to the winner of the auction though. maybe he/she comes here and will do a review.
I have of these. I got it NOS and the battery in it was in really bad shape. I had to give the battery compartment a thorough cleaning before I could get it to work. I recently started a collection of Trac II handles. However, I really don't use carts. I thought it was an interesting concept. I have seen a few others including a powered sensor handle made by Sharper Image. Gillette sued Sharper Image over the production of this handle.
