dubl duck is a brand. They made straight razors, brushes, scissors, and all kind of stuff. As far as I know they're still in business, I have a dubl duck hair brush.
Sweet. I guess the 27mm knot is close to the same size as the Omega 49 knot. It really fits a big handle like that.
That is much better looking to me. and I have a very similar size and looking brush and that long loft not only looks more balanced but it bowl lathers like nobody's business.

…which of course means the majority of their stuff will continue to be in demand for the foreseeable future. I really enjoy the DD and BBrummel razors!
@HoosierTrooper Great job ! Those TGN knots are lovely, you save time and effort It's better than to try to remove the knot from the handle in an original Omega.
Is this the same company? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_pg_1?rh=i:aps,k:dubl+duck&keywords=dubl+duck&ie=UTF8&qid=1415619635
Hoffritz is a name that is still available but it now merely a shell name for an Asian manufacturer of cooking products. For Dubl Duck all the legacy names in the U.S. chain from the original company are no longer in use. The issue is I cannot find a company issue name in the registry which leads me to believe this name may have been taken by another company to use in making pet scissors or a part of a consolidated company.
My father was selling Dubl Duck scissors at his pet shop back in the 70s. I was just a kid at the time, but even I could tell they were a quality product. Pretty expensive, too.
Thanks for this, Tom. I had forgotten. I will be picking up some DAP or GE silicone today fro my upcoming projects.
