The handle is aluminum and it has the original boar knot. Can I boil it to get the knot out or what is the easiest way

Hard to say. I've had good luck using a double boiler method. I'm not sure how aluminum will react to heat.

Be very careful as the aluminum on mine was paper thin. I did get the knot out using a dremel tool but ended up destroying the handle with just a very light sanding.

This one is mint, no need to sand or even polish but I want to be very careful getting the knot out. Normally I put the knot in a wood vise and squeeze it, works fast and easy but I think the aluminum is to fragile and would collapse

I agree and think it would collapse doing it that way.
