Today I purchased a couple straight razors two strops and some beard trimmers from a lady that bought a local barbershop are the barber retired. The two razors need to be restored. The top one is a Clauss Fremont Oh. The bottom one is a Geneva Knife Co # 25 Germany. The two strops are a Pike Manufacturing Co. Pike New Hampshire #636 Genuine Horse Shell leather and linen strop. The other strop is hard to tell but it says imported leather with deep cut diamond on it. The beard trimmers are W. R. Case and Sons. Got the whole lot for 10 dallars. I'm thinking about having the razors restored just because of the local history of them. Ken P
I love those manual trimmers! We have a new local barber that has a pair of those he likes to show people. Makes me say "Great! Now I need to get one of those!"
Looks like one strop has a half moon shaped hanger and the other is square. What shape is the hanger?
Not much else as it a pretty small building. But hopefully she said she just might be getting a new chair and if she does one of the old ones will be going and she said she'd call me first if it goes. Ken P
I have a vintage square one you can have if you want it. Its in pretty rough shape, but could be used with those.
Thanks Adam that would be great. I appreciate that very much. I will sent you a PM with my address. Thanks again really appreciate that. Ken P
