I checked out the website, and I will definitely be ordering some ceramics from him in the future. There's a lot of innovative, purposely-built designs that are also quite attractive. Thanks for posting the information!

Some really nice work there... Has anyone from the U.S. purchased something here before?

It looks like you'll need to be able to communicate in German to deal with him (although most Germans learn some English in school). I couldn't find any information at all there about pricing of his interesting products.

You can always mail Ansgar at the address stated on his homepage - In fact you NEED to mail him when you order and he'll even send you pics of the actual scuttle you're getting!

Here are some general directions:

Click on "scuttles" (or mugs or....) On the right hand side several different products will show. Click on "Gallerie" right underneath the picture and you'll see all the different colour-variations he offers of that specific type. You'll also find the prices and sizes there.
höhe = height
Durchmesser = diameter
Bestellcode = product code
Preis = price

I also have a scuttle from Ansgar. I have a smaller one than Klaus. But I'm very impressed with what I got :drool. Warm lather is guaranteed for a long time.
Now Ansgar has more varieties on his site. He has another color even if it's no color, it's just lacque and he has some other improvements. Check them out.
And you can ask Ansgar always if he has some good deals.
When you need some prices click at "Galerie" and you can get them.
And look at "Seifendeckel und Ablageteller". That's quite an amazing idea.

If he could put up a page in English (aka Broken German) he'd probably increase sales considerably. Looks like a lovely & utilitarian piece of work but I for one really don't like "guessing" what stuff might mean in another language...

Some months ago he said he was working on an english version, but as yet nothing has happened.

I'd consider one myself if it was available closer to home. Group buy...

He was actually looking for a reseller in the US, but as far as I know there were no takers. I did suggest to Giovanni to take them on, but I heard no more.

Yes I really want one but the shipping to Oz is extreme for one of these. I do remember him telling me that he could ship two for the cost of one to the US, but then shipping costs would have to be shared to the other party once it landed in the US.

Shavemac also sell them, and considering I also want a Shavemac brush I figured I could get both from there.

Cheers

Hi there, it seems about time I introduced myself - and the english homepage that has just gone online yesterday.
Just follow the link given by herzi (above). Funnily, this being my first post I am not allowed to post links (yet).
As for me, I have been a straight razor user for three years now, and I just love it. And I am eternally grateful to the german Nassrasurforum for having and giving away all the information needed for a good shave, and more.
Anyway, I am a potter, too, and have developed some items (mugs, scuttles, soap containers) for wetshaving that I think serve their purpose quite well.
Have a look on the homepage, there is a lot more information there.
Enjoy, questions and corrections are warmly welcome.
Greetings,
Ansgar

Welcome Ansgar! :eatdrink004

We're glad to have you :happy088

Question, is this about the size of a regular "coffee" mug:

[IMG]

--
LK-Scuttles with classic four-finger handle--

If so, I NEED one of those, immediately :D

No, Joe, they're big and heavy, a bit more than one kilo without the water filling. For the size, refer to the indications on the HP please.
Greetings
