    Hey all!

So post Christmas I'm going to be ordering a 6s or 6c and was wondering if the 6s is worth the extra money and why you think it is or isn't. Thanks!

Hm. Great question. I have both and I think they both shave about the same. If that is all that you need, then I think the 6C would do the trick for less money. But, the stainless 6S is a great razor. The 6S has no zinc and it comes in a very nicely done raw or brushed finish. The 6C is has zinc base plates and cap, but I think the handle is chromed brass. The 6C comes in an awesome gunmetal finish. Maybe that would stoke the fire. But, the 6S is a little heavier and I, for one, like that. So, I use my 6S daily and I travel with my 6C.

If you have the money to spend on it, then yes the Rockwell 6S is worth the extra money over the 6C. It's stainless steel so it will be more durable than the alloy the 6C has.

I have only the 6C (in gunmetal). I can assure you that it’s a great razor. It’s turned me into a one-razor-guy.

I'm sure the 6C is great, but you know if you buy the 6C you'll be wishing you bought the 6S. :angry017:

I doubt if you buy the 6S that you'll have any regrets.

    Just my opinion. :)

Thanks everyone for your awesome input! I think it will come down to if I want a stainless steel razor or have the leftover money to feed my shaving addiction even more

I would say get the 6C ... and use the extra cash for some more soap, a new brush, etc.!!!

I have only used the 6C and now several other razors sit in awe (Merkur 34C, Fatboy, Slim, Tech, etc.). Love the gunmetal and the weight just feels perfect. The few extra grams I doubt I would care about that the 6S has.

Either way you look at it, you are getting a great razor!!

Yeah that's what I think I'm going to do.

I purchased both as well. I personally like the weight of the 6S better. I feel the threads on the handle and top cap are smoother on the 6S as well. Other than that they shave the same. I ended up giving my 6C to my son and I use my 6S every day. I picked up the 6C first and then stumbled onto a good deal on a used 6S that I couldn’t pass up on. Personally I feel the 6S is worth the extra money.

I have the 6C and it is a fine razor. I personally would not pay the difference for the 6S. I use mostly vintage razors, and even the 6C gets lots of shelf time.

Depends too how quick you get bored of a razor.

If it is sooner than 2 years no problem.
After that pitting and corrosion might occur....

    Stainless Steel Rocks!
