    W&B scale progress...
Scott was right - these needed a CA glue bath :).
Did 4 coats of thin with 400 grit sanding in between. Made the wedge from camel bone and test fitted the razor. This is after the 3rd application, so 400 grit marks.

Close and tight with the wedge... actually had to drill a 2nd hole based on a whoops :).

And after a 400-600-800 dry, then 800-1000-1500-2000-2500 wet, then Turtle Wax rubbing compound followed by Flitz.

Seems little compared to the Rodgers, but this W&B is a 8/8. Pinned her up with Ni-Ag and here we go...

Phenomenal creativity and craftsmanship, yet again, Tom. You make really cool scales.

I really appreciate those kind words. It takes me quite a while, but hopefully I throw a cool twist out there. Thank you!

Thank you Scott- and thanks for the gentle nudge towards the CA glue finish. These scales really pop now.

And just finished honing the Rodgers... that was a bear. One of the most unique & fun shaves I have had. :happy036:

Finally got the Herberz where I wanted her...
Nothing crazy at all, just A LOT of q-tips and Flitz. One small area on the spine near the tang took some 800/1000 sandpaper followed by a little 0000 steel wool and Flitz, but I was doing everything I could to stay away from anything gold.

And for quite a bit of detailed effort, not too different :)...

    And one more for fun.

I am really excited to hone this up and give it a spin... as close to a Palmera as I will probably get.

0000 and Flitz! That may be the technique I am looking for to soften the grain on my blade! Great looking projects here! Way to inspire! Keep em' coming Tom!

    Best, John

Edit - love that Herberz French point(?)!

Thanks John! And I’m with you on the shape of the Herberz, sort of Chevalier’esque but not as dramatic. But I still love it.
