I just got my first brush over 40 bucks last week from VintageBlades. HOLY CRAP. After getting used to all the lather being in the brush rather than in my scuttle I can say without certainty that this is a FINE FINE brush. I don't think I've lost a hair on it yet, and I've lost several on my two week old C&E BBB. This does, however just make me pine for MORE brushes. :happy102
Glad you like it! I don't recall hearing a single bad thing about the Rooney Heritage series. Except from The Gentleman's Shop which no longer carries them because they had so much trouble GETTING them! I really want a long-handled brush. Even my favorite Tulip has a socket that needs to be about an inch longer. So, I'm seriously considering a Rooney Heritage Victorian. The socket alone is 75mm!! Loft 50, knot 24. Sounds awesome! Anyone ever try one?
Yeah it's nice. I almost just bought a Rooney 1/3 in Super... but glad I went with the Heritage Stubby in Super. It was obviously more expensive, but damn it's nice.
Something about getting your hands on a fine brush that makes you want more... it's a sickness I tell ya! I was feeling the sickness coming on today, so I ordered a Rooney 1/1 Finest. I feel better now.
I also have a stubby 2, man that thing is dense - maybe too dense, if that's possible...It does attack the tabac like no other Steve
Hello all. I'm new here. I had the Stubby 2 and will have to agree that it is possibly one of the most dense brushes I've ever used. I ended up selling it because it was too dense for my tastes, but a great brush it was. Best, Marion
Enjoy your brush! I have a Stubby 3 and it is great brush, especially when face lathering with soaps.
