Hi I'm brand new only been here about 3 minutes. Not sure if this is the right forum for what I have to say. If not I'm sure one of you will tell me where I need to be. I signed up because the site looked kinda fun.Info on cool vintage stuff,and on the best shaving soap. Iv'e Always used Williams(I think) It's the only one I can find. If I can find it. But thats not what I wanted to talk about. I wanted to talk about the ROTOSHAVE. Iv'e been reading bad things about the rotoshave over and over and over. I do not agree. Mine works great. It doesn't do it in 3 minutes like the infomercial says,and you have to learn,by trial and error ,what angles to hold it at. Took me one shave. And. don't worry an error wont cause a nick or razor burn But. It shaves me as close as any stick razor Iv'e ever used. Including the 5 bladers. I'll be 64 next month. So Iv'e tried,just about all of them. Somewhere I read that women always shave against the hair and men always shave with the whiskers. I don't know about the women.But about the men. That is just not true! Many men,myself included,who want a really close shave, Will shave first with the whiskers. then against. I can do that with my rotoshave. Like I do with stick razors and the shave is just as close. One person wrote that no matter what angle he held it at,he couldn't get to some hard to reach places. Iv'e got some hard to reach places that even shaving against the whiskers. I can't get as close of a shave as I want. The rotoshave gets those areas closer then my stick blades. Replacement blades are ( I think) about $14.00 for 2 or 3 cartridges,And there supposed to last about three months. I probably sound like I work for the rotoshave people. Wish I did I could use the extra bucks. I don't. I'm just an old guy on SSI. Hey I like that. Maybe I'll make it my new catch phrase. " Hi Glad to meet ya. welcome to the forum. if the Rotoshave works for you..keep doing what youre doing. if you stay here for long youll be like a kid in a candy factory. most (not all) but a lot of us came here to find cheaper ways to shave. well i can say im prb spending more now than ever but im having way more fun. instead of shaving every other day or a few times a week i do it every day now. prb havnet missed but 3 days in 1.5 yrs after coming here.
