This is a prototype / idea for a unique looking razor and brush stand - will most likely nickle plate it for a nicer finish

Would like some member opinions of it ?

I would take one without nickel plating if you weld a small tab on the base to hold a straight razor. I think the rustic beefy beat up look is awsome! Good work!

I like it. It would fit right in at our place. My wife and I really enjoy antiques (it has an "antique-y" look to it) and we do have a minor wrought iron theme running through our home.

That looks cool! I'd take one with or without the plating, as I think both would look cool on my counter.

Nice stand , I can see how once you make one it will look machined, sleeker, industrial. In nickel thats going to look very nice.

A vote for no nickle here. Love the look of the wrought iron.

Could the stand be made like that from stainless?

Sure it could , but via a different process as you can't twist and bend stainless like wrought iron.

    I like it.

What would be a general price range for something like that?

$60 or under depending on the finish costs.

Here is the nickle plated version , came out much better than I expected and more appropriate looking for a modern bathroom.

    Weighs under 1 pound - 375 grams.

Very nice. But I still prefer the rustic look of your original pic.

I like both. I'd probably take both or either.

    Plating...

I think your nickel plating job is wonderful. Me, I love copper. If I came upon something like that I would love to plate it in copper. Is it legal to melt pennies?

No. And pennies made from mid-1982 to current contain 97.5% zinc and 2.5% copper.
