Anyone have any recommendations for a sandalwood scented AS? I have 0 aftershaves currently, just witch hazel and a few different colognes.

I'd suggest Honey Bee Garden Sandalwood. I like it and it layers well with other sandalwood scents from creams.

HBG Sandalwood is a bit unique, it's got kind of a sawdust smell to it I think. What I like about it (aside from the aforementioned uniqueness) is that it mixes well with other sandalwoods. I've found a lot of times different brands of products (and even same brand sometimes) in sandalwood don't match properly. The HBG seems to blend into other Sandalwoods instead of fighting them. Kind of creates another layer.

Sandalwood essential oil is running at $120.00 for a fluid ounce. Ouch

Yeah, actual sandalwood is an endangered plant. It's been farmed to near extinction. The sandalwood in products are usually a couple of different trees that come from India that smell very similar to sandalwood.

The Art of Shaving Sandlewood After Shave lotion is expensive but quite nice.

Trumpers have an amazing one. It's on the costly side though so you may want to try a sample first.

Update: Sorry, I was thinking about their Skin Food - not A/S :angelic007:

I recently purchased some St. Charles Shave soap, aftershave, aftershave cream and EDT. I like it quite a bit. They have a couple of other scents with sandalwood in them. Dagger and Woods are two that come to mind. They may have more. They sell samples and are less costly than some of the big name brands. I've also tried AOS as well as GFT skinfood. Of the three I like AOS the best, but that may change as I am really enjoying the St. Charles. I wish Proraso would come out with an aftershave for their red line.

I got a bottle of Captain's Choice Sandalwood for Christmas, and it's really nice, though I'd prefer the scent to be a little stronger.

I like Taylor of Old Bond Street, although my wife doesn't seem to care for it too much. It is one of my daughter's favorites though. Or course she is 6, so take it for what it's worth.

I have the DR Harris Sandalwood aftershave and its a great scent, but it is pretty potent. My wife told me not to wear it, it makes me smell like "that guy".
I also use the Trumper Sandalwood skin food and recommend it. Very soothing on the face. It doesn't really smell like sandalwood, but its nice. The scent doesn't last long at all. Its not cheap, but a little goes a long way.

Don't know about the aftershave, but TSD Sandalwood soap is great.
I've heard others talk about different companies and have stated that a company's soap may smell slightly different than their AS.
