Sandalwood

I was in AOS today which is a rarity because I live pretty far from the store. I smelled the sandalwood SC that they have and boy do I love that smell. It is such a great scent.

I also have Drakkar which is a cologne that has sandalwood in it and that smells amazing too.

Anyone else a lover? I have to get my hands on a good sandalwood SC soon. I just need that paycheck! hahah

 

I like some Sandalwoods. Strangely, I like TOBS sandalwood soap more than I like the cream. I've only smelled a couple other sandalwoods and I thought they smelled like crap. The store here has a sandalwood scent that might interest you.

 

I was looking in the shop. Couldn't find anything. This hobby will make me broke. I feel it. hahha

 

Lol, I thought I was going to save money shaving this way. I guess I was wrong.

 

It's a conspiracy! it's how they get you! hahaha. This is quite possibly the best addiction I have ever had.

 

Gingers Garden Sandalwood is really nice. I have the soap. Highly recommend this soap and scent. I'm looking into some of her soft soaps now, hmmm....AD...HAH! Joey, you are in for some fun my man.

 

I love sandalwood, but I am quite particular about it in that I like the scent of sandalwood oil, not the synthetic stuff usually found in soaps and after shaves. The best sandalwood scent in my opinion is Proraso red, but it is only available as soap and cream. A good aftershave/cologne to match is DR Harris sandalwood. The Crabtree & Evelyn I don't care for at all and AOS is not available around here.

 

I just received pyrate's bay sandalwood soap. I haven't tried sandalwood yet, it smells pretty good but it's going to have to wait as I have several others in the queue.

 

Edwin Jagger does a Sandalwood AS Cream that I ordered yesterday - not sure what it smells like yet

 

The best smelling one IMHO is Taylors of Old Bond Street. Hands down!!!

 

The only one I've got is the TSD Wheat SC in sandalwood. It smells great though.

 

Sometimes Sandlewood is the culprit for giving a fragrance that 'Playdoh' smell....of course when I was a kid I use to eat Playdoh so maybe thats not a bad thing...
But other times like in TSD's sandlewood it's fantastic and I love it....and no...it doesn't make me hungry for a quick Playdoh snack...

 

I liked TSD sandalwood, and TOBS. Great scents. And you'll find sandalwood at the heart or base notes of a lot of colognes like Drakkar, Burberry, etc.

To me they all smell different. The one I like the least is the Muhles - too sweet. The rest are great.

 

I don't shave with any sandalwood soaps or creams but I do wash with it. I have a local soap maker and it's one of their scents. Love it!

 

You guys are bad for me. I think we need time away from eachother. I just ordered another shave cream, Prosaro Sandalwood 150ML. Reviews to follow.

Yeah man great scent. The fastrak hustler himself, srpavko, sent me a sample a couple weeks ago. Wasn't sure about it at first but once I lather up it I feel in love. The best scent I've ever used. Can't wait to buy some of my own.

 

I've been hearing good things about it so far. I love the smell of sandalwood so I can't wait to try it!
