I understand scents can be pretty subjective, but just curious what artisan scents you would rate in the 8-10 range on a scent strength scale of 1-10?

I will say this: I have never tried a Barrister and Mann soap and thought I didn't get my money's worth out of the scent.

Stirling has some serious powerhouse scents. They also have around forty of them at any given time, and the range varies.

The Chiseled Face scents I have tried have all had good strength to them.

I don't know if they would be considered artisan, but Fine Accouterments has some very long lasting scents in their soaps and aftershaves. I own Green Vetiver, L'Orange Noir and Italian Citrus in soaps and aftershave. The scent profile is also taken from some pretty darn good fragrances. Green Vetiver marries with Vetiver Guerlain, L'Orange Noir is matched with Terre d'Hermes and Italian Citrus pairs with Acqua Di Parma. Each of these three combinations is top notch in my book.

Stirling has my vote. The ones I have kept have a good scent profile at a strength of about a 5-6.

Stirling, Captain's Choice, and Barrister & Mann all have full bodied scent profiles. I think that is why I like all three.

Stirling has my vote in every category. Scent, variety, performance, price, and hard to find nicer people to deal with!

I have not tried Mama Bear soaps, but I have tried a half a dozen or so Route 66. They all had a very good strength to them, but I don't know that I would call any of them a powerhouse.

To everyone that posted about Stirling scents,

I like many Stirling scents, but every time I buy one , the scent changes after a 2-3 weeks use. In example- I bought Black Ice- Anise and Menthol and loved it. After a couple of weeks it smelled like pepperoni. I ended up discarding the remainder. It has happened on 3-4 soaps. I’ve never heard anyone mention this happening and I ‘ve never had it happen on other soaps I’ve tried. Anybody have any thoughts on it??
