Great write up, and I'm glad you had a fantastic shave. Rule of thumb: if Vince sends you a razor, it will become your favorite one. He sent me my New LC, and I love it.

 

The brushes and combs shown on the Clubman site are of a brownish color-apparently the company has been around a looong time, like Clubman itself.

 

Kent's website claims they were established in 1777. I have the BK4 and the larger BK8 silvertip badger brushes. These were my first two badgers, and I have used them more than any of my other brushes. Some folks have high praise for them (they call them luxurious) and some don't (they call them floppy). I like them, and I especially like how the hourglass handles fit in my hand. If you are interested, I found the best deal at http://www.feelunique.com/ Quite honestly, I think you can find a better brush value. For example, it's hard to beat the Omega Pro 98 boar brush for $15.

I also picked up a couple of the Kent faux tortoise pocket combs - one for me and one for my Bride. Mine survived a couple of months in my back pocket before it broke in half. It didn't hold a candle to my $1 Ace comb. My Bride purchase a small Kent make up brush. It has an old-school look about it, but it was a shredder.

I believe that 007 uses the BK12 (largest of all the Kent boar brushes).

 

I can't let that one go by Charlie, I hadn't thought of it that way!

By coincidence I just happened to have two of the same razors. And it was the same situation with both the New LC and the Schick Repeaters - I loved both types and thought I'd just share the love!

I can't wait to focus on the LC this month and think the new finish on your LC is way cool.

I'll give it a fair shot but, if it fails I'm not keeping it around. I have too many razors that love my face.

 

Well, shoot. I thought everybody was referring to naps, not apps. At my age, I can get pretty excited thinking about my next nap.

 

I suggest Flaming February for a flame thrower focus. This gives you all plenty of time to acquire one of these rare beauties. I have mine.
