    Williams Mug Soap
    Alpha T-400 Silvertip Badger
    Supply Provision
    Schick Proline B20
    CWR
    Clubman Pinaud AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Soap face lathered well with the Alpha T-400 Silvertip Badger brush. I did two passes with the Supply Provision Safety Razor with a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Clubman Pinaud AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

GEM Contour, which many claim to be perhaps the weakest GEM razor ever made in relation to shave quality and performance. Well, I’d have to disagree with everyone of those naysayers. Why? Because for some reason that I can’t rightly explain it shaves wonderfully for me. It’s smooth and just efficient enough to get the job done in 2-3 passes. Retro-futuristic and it’s a push button! Damn, tell me that ain’t cool....

Fat Friday Detour of a Stirling SEptember

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Razor: GEM Pushbutton
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

Enjoyable shave with the Pushbutton. Comfortable all around. One small weeper, but that's no big deal. Have a great day!

Good setup and picture Perry. What is your take on that soap? I've used it a few times, however, I felt it dried out my face. Perhaps I'll try it in October.

Thank you, Doug! I've never had that feeling with Mitchell's. In fact, quite the opposite, as the lanolin is soothing and moisturizing to me. Mitchell's has excellent post-shave feel in my experience.

B2 Mongoose with Dr. Bomber handle
    Feather Super Professional (1)
    Kent BK4 Silvertip
    Le Père Lucien - unscented
Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, Trumper Coral Skin Food, and unrefined shea butter

I'm getting in under the SE wire this month with my Mongoose. This one is from Batch # 2, so I've had it for about four years. I plan to finish the month with it and likely continue into October. I've also got the larger Big Bomber handle if I want to add even more heft. I've always liked how it shaves and how it feels in my hand. The build quality is excellent, and I admire the simplicity of its design. Loaded with a Feather Super Professional blade, it should be a fun ride for the next few mornings.

A whole lot has been said about the OneBlade. Some good, some bad and there is quite a divide on those that wet shave and consider it not your traditional razor because it pivots like those dastardly multi-bladed cartridge face wreckers. Perhaps, arguably they might have an argument there. I do know this. It will give you an exceptionally smooth and comfortable shave with the best of them. It is that good of a razor......
