SEptember 26, 2018 Been jonesing for a straight shave but, in keeping within the parameters of the single edge theme I pulled out a shavette and a Gillette Twinjector (single edge or not?) Anyways, the shave was great and the results were fantastic. The B&B shavette actually has a very nice and smooth shaving feel. Feels better built than a $10 shavette should. Nice weight, balance and locking mechanism. I’d highly recommend it for those looking to delve into the world of straight shaving and want to get their feet wet. The Gillette Twinjector just did some clean up work and a slight buff on the chin. Nice razor and paired with the Schick Twin II it is superb. And those Schick Twin II’s last for eternity. Pushing close to 20 shaves on that one single blade and no signs of slowing down. Astonishing and well worth it...
Yeah, my Misses can tolerate most but, she’s not keen on much of the “Vintage” scents. Crazy enough though, she does like Old Spice, especially Burly. Go figure.....
SOTD September 27, 2018 A Stirling SEptember Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap Blade: Personna Ultra Chrome Razor: Schick L5 'Revere' injector Brush: JR #60 synthetic Soap: Stirling Dunshire Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Dunshire aftershave Schick L5 'Revere' injector this morning. Pretty mild razor and my lower neck didn't get as clean as usual, but that's okay. Comfortable shave in the end. Have a great day!
Tabac Thursday's Shave Cold Water Wash Tabac Shave Soap Jayaruh #319 Bunny V3 Injector Schick Proline B20 Blade CWR Tabac AS My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #319 brush. I did two passes with the Bunny V3 Injector Razor with a Schick Proline B20 Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
SOTD Stirling SEptember 27th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap G.E. Jones Shake Sharp Gillette 7 O'Clock Permasharp Stainless (3) Simpson's CH2 Synthic (27mm, The Soap Destroyer) Stirling Pumpkin Spice Homemade Tangerine and Tea Tree AS It has been quite some time since I used the Shake Sharp razor, probably over a year. Which is a real shame because I had a most excellent shave with it this morning. For those of you who have never hear of the Shake Sharp they were produced in the 1940's and 1950's and use DE blades. They qualify as an SE though because they only expose one edge of the blade at a time. They have a mechanism that allows you to shake the razor head back and forth and it will pass a small hone back and forth over the bottom edge of the blade. Supposedly four or five shakes on each side of the blade would restore the sharpness of the blade as new.Now back to the shave. This razor really allows you to use a very shallow angle and man does it sing! Took my time this morning and just enjoyed the process. Three passes left me with zero irritation and brought home the baby! I finished off with my homemade Tangerine and Tea Tree oil AS and my face is soft and smooth, let the faceturbating commence! Have a great day my friends!
SEptember 27, 2018 Cobra Classic........ Much has been said about it and I won’t say more. But, I will say and just to reiterate, it’s one of the finest shaving SE’s in the business. Smooth, efficient and sexy as all hell.
