SE Sunday's Shave Cold Water Wash Mitchell's Wool Fat B-400 by Tom Superior Lather Catcher Original Gem Cutlery SE CWR Aqua Velva Ice Blue My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face lathered well with the B-400 Brush by Tom. I did two passes with the Superior Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. Sun 2nd Sept Omega 11137 MWF ATT SE-G, modified base plate Gem S/S [ 5 ] Floid Vigoroso A/S Lotion Am still enjoying the use of an SE-G thanks to the loan of a modified base plate created by a Shaving Buddy, who found his Razor not to work very well. Until I got this, my Razor had been stuck in a drawer for 8months. I have now had 10 Shaves with the modified Razor, and today with a blade on its 5th outing the Shave was not only smooth and comfortable but the finish was ultra close all round. Have to send the base plate back, but Paul is going to see what he can do wth mine.

Good looking brush Amigo. What knot is in that SOC? I'm going to shave with older SE razors on the weekend and use my newer SE razors during the week. I have a few new soaps coming and only a few Sterling soaps, so I'll substitute those soaps for Sterling soaps.
Thank you Doug. The SOC has a mixed boar and badger knot. I have found it to have excellent backbone with the tips soft enough for face lathering. I am interested to see what it feels like with the boar bristles broken in. I will use my vintage SE razors on the weekends and modern SE razors during the week. Oh I have a Blackland Sabre Lvl 2 on the way.

I ran out of modern injector blades. But some of the vintage ones still look good. Is that what you mean?
Clint. I think you'll like the Sabre L2. I found the L1 to be very mild. It will be interesting to see how it suits you. Where you watching football and having a pop at the time of purchase ?
