Hats off to Wolfman (James Dufour) for the perfect razor and to Otto Carter for engraving it with beautiful artwork. You can see the wolves barking at the moon on the base and even on the small base of the brush handle. Wolves are also worked into the handle details. Incredible work. I started out on this forum a while back so thought it would be nice to come back to share this beautiful work of art. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Very cool! We actually want you to post here, unlike that "other place" where they delete your threads and read your PM's!
...and as a Mod I promise not to boot and ban you should you express a liking for Patchouli. True story.
Here's what will happen.......90 years from now, on PBS' Antiques Road Show. Appraiser: "Tell me how you came to own this." Owner: "It was my grandfather's I think. We were cleaning out their old house and I found it in a box with some other stuff. I think it was used for shaving but I'm not sure. I don't know how you'd use it. Everyone I know these days uses the Apple iShaver system." Appraiser: "Years ago in the first part of the last century there developed a kind of strange cult based on wet shaving. What you have here should really be in a museum. As it's one of a kind it's hard to place a value on it but I would insure it for at least 20 Bitcoins. What else was in the box?" Owner: "Little boxes of blades. At least that's what the label states. Most of them say made in Russia. I can't imagine using those to shave!" Appraiser: "There are still several pockets of wet shavers among us. They mainly communicate with each other on an underground, archaic system called the Inner net or something like that. They even take pictures of their shaving units and share them." Owner: "Wow, that's crazy! Well, thanks for letting me know for sure." Terrific looking razor BTW!
