I bought this ShaveMac Cl3 2-band SilverTip A little while ago and I always liked the look of it and was very eager to get it one day. When I got it I realize that it was really scratchy. To be honest I don’t prefer a badger brush that has a lot of grit to it. I prefer a soft badger like Yaqi. The same thing happened to my mule Rocca stainless brush. It’s very scratchy. I bet on the website that they use untreated hairs, so maybe that’s why.

these are two of my most expensive brushes, and to be honest even though they are visually appealing. Don’t like the performance, the shave Mac is a good painter though:

good thing is the knot is replaceable, so I bought a Muhle synthetic to go with it
