So I have to get up real early tomorrow morning so I shaved tonight so I wouldn't have to in the morning, but I also shaved this morning. It didn't go too bad, but this is my first time to shave twice in one day. Has anyone else shaved twice in one day and been successful?

Many times. I often shave quite early (5am or earlier some mornings), and often the church has meetings or social events scheduled later that same evening. This means I am often shaving again in the eve an hour or so before the start of the event. It isn't always necessary—especially if I get a super close shave, but often I need to shower to refresh myself and figure a quick shaving touch-up couldn't hurt. Two shaves a day— quite a luxury! :):D

I have a few times as well. I normally just take extra caution when I know it's going to happen and make sure I use one of my better performing soaps too!

Twice in one day? Don't fly to close to the sun, Icarus! hahaha

I've tried that, it just doesn't work for me.

Sure - I do one side of my face in the morning, and the other in the evening. Sure, I look a little funny, but some say I do anyway, so no harm done! Lathering twice per day is the only way I'll ever use up all the product I've accumulated... ;)

Uhhhh.... So why not just shave in the morning and a simple lather in the evening? Just sayin'.

I'm another one who typically shaves quite early in the morning, but when the guidwife says I need to clean-up for an evenings refreshments then I'll shave again...no danger. As Kevin said, quite a luxury actually! :angelic007:

If you shave early and need to look presentable at night, its almost mandatory to shave twice. don't be that guy who "needs a shave"!

One of the perks of having a full beard that I miss.

Yeah my wife is being induced today and we had to get to the hospital at 4 AM so I thought shaving the night before was smarter than waking up even earlier. Its paid off so far. Still tired though. haha

When I have an evening event. If i know I will shave twice I drop the XTG pass from the morning shave.

Yeah I do WTG and ATG passes. I did the same on the evening. Though I thought about dropping one but didn't.

Damn, I got a coarse beard but you guys must be part wooly mammoth? ?
    Lol....:D
If I did that I'd have major bumps! I really should shave every 3 days but I do every other day just because.

If I am going out on a date I pretty much have to shave before hand. When I do, I use good soap/croap/cream, make a good lather, do excellent skin prep and only take 2 passes. It has never caused me any skin irritation and I end up with at least a DFS (usually a BBS) before going out.

Actually, I have what would be considered a very light beard and sensitive skin. This combo would lead one to believe I'm a prime candidate for severe razor rash if I tend 'over-shave.' The reality is, yes, I'm quite prone to razor rash if I shave repeatedly with a mild razor. I have discovered that using a more aggressive DE razor with fewer strokes gets me close and smooth with no irritation. Doubling up on shaves occasionally doesn't seem to create any issues……...so far.

That's EXACTLY what I found when using my Super Speed Black Tip! Though a noted mild razor (and beloved by some — even touted here as an efficient mild shaver!), I had to make a whole lot of passes over the trouble spots to get a true BBS! It gave me a little bit of burn. Fortunately, no bumps.

I have shaved twice in a day. I think it OK for special events, but would have to think a lot about it as a daily thing. I might consider a morning aggressive shave with an evening mild touchup. My BBS frequently lasts 12 hours except that the trouble spots are the first to emerge.

Hmm... Y'know, after achieving a consistent BBS, your standard changes. I can skip a day of shaving and day 2 could probably pass as socially acceptable, only failing my personal standard. However, I can use my face to sand pine boards on day 3. A coworker says he shaves only twice a week! Go figure.
