I’m recently retired and have been going regularly to the gym the last few weeks. How many of you continue your wetshaving at the gym, and what part of your shaving regimen do you keep? To save space in my gym Dopp kit, I’ve been using a cream that comes in a tube and have been building lathers in my palm using a synthetic shaving brush. I’d like to add a soap in stick form, but want something small. I’m considering a Speick stick, but need some kind of container for it.

Ask at your pharmacy for a prescription bottle big enough to hold the Speick stick.
Heck, you might already have one around the house, maybe still holding a few pills.

The other fellas might be impressed if you pull out a strop and a vintage straight.

The other fellas don’t even take a shower, let alone shave ….

Although shaving with one of my straight razors would strike up conversations, me being around a bunch of naked guys, as I try to shave, doesn't quite work for me. Plus, I like solitude, and extreme cleanliness, when I use my straights.

Some of the shave soap sticks come already in a container. The Muhle ones have a screw top which is nice because it doesn't fall off. La Toja, Vergulde Hand (not sure if the Vergulde is still available) have a "slip on" cap which can come off easily. Check what's available from wherever you normally shop.

Maggard sells a twist up shave stick holder that has a screw on top.
