I used to use Skin Mechanics for Men Original Shave Cream from The Body Shop. I think it's the best scent I have ever smelled. I know, you wouldn't expect The Body Shop to have such a terrific product. But this smelled amazing. But the great tragedy is that they have discontinued the product! Does anyone remember this product and what it smelled like? How would you describe the scent? And do you know of a shaving cream with a similar scent? I want to buy a shaving cream that will help me recapture that scent experience! Any suggestions?
Welcome to TSD! This is the best wet shave board on the planet! I have no experience with the cream you mention, but the TBS Maca Root Cream smells and performs fantastically!
thanks! Thanks for the warm welcome! Somebody told me the scent was sandalwood. I tried the sandalwood from Taylor's of Old Bond Street and it didn't smell right. I'm going to try to get my hands on some Trumper, Truefitt and Hill, and Crabtree & Evelyn to see if I can match the scent. Onward!
I have smelled a couple different sandalwood scented creams, air fresheners, and incense... all smelled completely different although i understand they cannot smell the same for the other ingredients. However two shaving creams i have smelled were not very simular either.
The original Body Shop cream smelled NOTHING like sandalwood to me. It smelled like a vitamin store. I hated the scent, but the lather and skincare were perfect.
exactly what I mean. Its tough to find two creams that smell the same. Even if they are the same scent. But you can always get a sampler of different sandalwood creams from TSD store.
