I am new to DE shaving. I am using Omega shaving creme, and I love the scent. My primary use of supplies is west coast shaving, but I order online and don't know what these soaps & cremes smell like... I don't want to waste my money, and in Memphis I don't know where any wet shaving stores are. Thanks!

The Shave Den store is a GREAT place to shop. You can buy samples of different creams/soaps. Welcome to the den!

I have the same Omega soap. I really like the scent. It was originally given to my son but he did not like the way it smelled, so I ended up with it. My gain!

Thank you. As soon as my omega goes I plan on trying all types. I will keep this in mind.

FYI. That'll last almost a year. Nothing wrong with using what you have up. Happy shaving!

I'm in Mississippi, too, and have not found any decent places to shop for shaving supplies. The Bath & Body Works here does not even carry C. O. Bigelow shave cream! I have to agree that TSD store shaving cream/soap sampler is the way to go. I haven't found any other site offering as many options for a sampler as they do. Best of luck!

I'm in Northwest MS right outside of Memphis. I know Memphis has some "somewhere" but I can't find em. From what I saw online they're expensive as well. The sampler does seem the only way to go until I settle on something.

I think you have an answer on the sampler issue so I will simply say:

    Welcome to the Den.

We know you'll fit right in.

In Mississippi as well! I have heard that one of the clothing stores on the square in Oxford has some shaving soap at really high prices. I have not been to Oxford , though. In Jackson a Crabtree & Evelyn and a L'occitane just opened. Crabtree & Evelyn have quite a few soaps and creams. ( I have only tried the West Indies Lime cream. It is pretty good cream for me. ) L'occitane only has one soap but it is great. IMHO.

If I where closer to Memphis. I would call around to Barber Shops and see if they carry any wet shaving supplies. Seems like at least one would have something.

That's a good idea. I know there is a store in Memphis that has an Art of Shaving place but sells outrageously high anyhow, also I can't find it. Jackson is 4 hours from here, but I wish it wasn't. I'll have to check Oxford out ASAP. Thank you for your help!

I am esstatic to be apart of such an awesome community where we can discuss the bliss and tranquility that comes from wet shaving. Being fairly new, I have learned right of the bat that it is most certianly an art as well.
I look forward to communicating and learning from everyone, whether it be about an awesome cream or soap to different razors. I have already found, within a day, improvements I can make on my lather alone. Thank y'all for this forum!
