Like many, I've been looking for a space saving solution for my daily shaving gear that will fit into my limited counter space. This is not a problem for my wife, who owns the large counter on the other side of the bathroom. ;)

As I was shopping with her at The Container Store, I happened to notice these common, stackable CD/DVD racks and realized the footprint was just about right. Anyway, purchased two and gave it a try. Cool! Depending on your needs, this might be a nice alternative. I can even imagine this setup useful on the toilet lid if your space is especially limited.

    For 2 X $13.50 = $27, you could do worse.

    Small space

A very nice set up indeed! I'm looking myself for a compact set up for my modest supplies, and something like this would certainly fit the bill.

    Each unit is about 5-3/4"D x 17-1/4"L x 5-1/2"H so as shown it's 11" high. Good luck!

Seriously though, that's a good idea and may solve some storage solutions most of us seem to have. Excellent idea, Billy!

Very nice. I would just need the actual counter space to do it.

:signs001 My wife generally rolls her eyes at my quests. Then every once in a while one of them works! By the way, I've seen similar racks in other stores (Target?) so shop around. They were slightly on sale at Container Store but generally they are not known for their low prices. ;)

Well, I see a possible solution to the current lack of a proper means of laying out my razors. I've considered using one of my pipe racks, but I'm not sure I have one of the right style.
    Nice job, Billy. :D

I like it! And wish I could do same.

SWMBO has said she does not want me to start stacking "crap" on the counter. Sooooooooooooo i've undertaken a secrect little wood working project to build a couple of racks to hang razors and brushes. First time she sees it will be when I open the cabinet doors in the morning to pull out a razor and brush. :D

Oh well, will have to ask for forgiveness because I aint asking for permission.

Once complete, i'll post a couple photos.

I've been thinking the same, Greg. Even my "rotation" is not just a few, but 8-10 razors so the nearby medicine cabinet is pretty crowded and will likely continue to be given my RAD. Hell, I'm thinking of adding another story to my little setup. But would it's shadow be a little intimidating? :signs002

Yes we sure do! Might wanna have some chocolate handy for that too ;)

Maybe get her a ladies razor for her legs, and something nice from the TSD store. JoAnna has some yummy scents an angry wife may like. Chocolate, a new razor, and some SC and I'd get over it.;)

(Insert comment about the positioning of Soapsuds at the main entrance to Texas Tech) :D

Seriously though, I need to start looking for something like this to organize my growing stash. I have ordered several things lately and I've already filled up a reasonable chunk of the counter. I've been taking over the second bathroom in the apartment as my shave den because the master bath is already packed. :)

[edit] for those that have no idea what I'm talking about, there is a statue of Will Rogers and his horse, Soapsuds, at the entrance to TTU. The entrance to the campus faces one of the main business streets through Lubbock. As the legend goes, the original placement of the statue had the horse's backside facing the businesses which didn't go over very well. The statue was rotated 23 degrees to have the rear end facing the direction of College Station. (Discussion of the complicated Texas and Oklahoma school rivalries notwithstanding)
