In keeping w/ the Chili threads here's mine. Pretty basic and very tasty. I've got a crockpot cooking up a batch as I type this. Truck started talking chili last night and it got me hungry for it.

    1 or 2lb ground pork
    1 or 2lb ground beef
    1 white onion
2 packets McCormick or other chili seasoning

Brown the beef and pork together in a pan. I usually use 1lb beef and 2lbs pork for a regular 5 qt. batch. Drain off the fat. Finely chop the onion and add it plus the chili seasoning to the beef. Mix it all up and heat it well again. Dump it all in the crockpot. Then add:

    1 large jug of V8
    2 cans tomato sauce
2 cans chili beans (w/ or w/out gravy ok---I use with)
    2 cans stewed tomatoes
Roughly half a normal sized container of McCormick or other chili powder

Stir all that together in the pot. If you're in a hurry turn it to the high setting for 3 or 4 hours. If you're going to do the all day slow cook, put in on low. You can add other spices as desired of course, but I like the basic listed above.

Crumble in lots of crackers and gobble it up until your belt busts!

    V8...interesting.

I may have to do some experimenting!

    It's tasty! :p

Just finished off the batch I cooked that night. It's even better the next day or two.

That looks tasty. I use pork and beef as well but I am going to try your recipe for everything else.

Don't forget the sour cream and cheese. Yummy.
