This vintage shaving stick has an unbelievably rich lather, and a classic "old-school" scent, and such soothing skincare--what a pity that it's extinct now. I use it once every couple of months to make it last as long as possible!

 

I know Thomas (DragonBoy) grabbed another great (vintage) Swedish shaving stick recently, a Hega! (I wasn't at home so I couldn't snipe it from him ).

I'm not dead certain on the history, but I think there is a connection between Barnängen and Hega/Gahns. If I have understood it correctly, Hega was a trademark of Barnängen at some time, but then, I could also be wrong.

Noxzema is OKAY for shaving with DEs but the lather just doesn't fit the needs for a straight-shave. Not as slick as it should be, drying and not much skincare - well, what do you expect from a cheap tenside-brew-cream?
