The Arran soap is nothing special, it does the job rather properly but.. Save your bucks.. Nice but rather faint scent.. Eg DVH is much better and to a tenth of the price..

Well, the Personna had no juice left and so the shave wasn't as close as I hoped it to be. Just went for 1 pass on the neck - it's still a tad irritated.
But I do love the C&E-cream, nice scent, nice skincare, nice everything

Sunday - No Shave. I was at a horse show helping out my wife and bumming around on my 4 yr old and giving him a little experience being at a show. It was 86 with winds gusting to 18-20mph.

Result: I got the Merkur 12C razor on Saturday. I paired it up with a fairly safe IP (Israeli Persona) blade. Based on a lot of comments on here and elsewhere, I was prepared for this razor to maybe give me a little of a problem. Yes, it definitely felt different with the open comb design. Did I have a problem with it? No. I did have 2 days worth of beard and my face had been tortured by the elements on Sunday but it performed quite well. I will be a little more careful with it until I get used to it but I don't see any problems. I used the Cremo Cream as a pre and cleanup lather. Once it is gone, I will not replace it. There is a lot of hype about this cream but I haven't see it do any better than a lot of creams/soaps I have. 4.3/5.0 I had some skipping but I think it was just the condition my face was in from Sunday.
