Try less water. I noticed that I always used little water when whipping in a mug. The burma was good for it but others were just too slick when whipping with the amount of water I usually used. I had no problems with it.

I was more playing with technique. Blade angle on the Futur with lather technique. I lathered my whole face and then moved the lather around with a couple of drops of water and my fingertips to the spots I needed just before I shaved them. I was kind of doing it like waxing a car. A little here, a little there instead of all at once.

The str8 and DE combo work OK? I do like the Avalon Shampoo & Conditioners I want to try the Pine Tar Soap. I had some Burt's Bees but I bet Grandpa's is much better and cheaper. I'm phasing out some of my Burt's products. Oh dear, no Anherb for me yet or Muscgo either.
Rich - it worked pretty good, thanks for the idea They are good for everyday use, as they are gentle.....and especially in the winter when the air is dry. But sometimes, you need something with a little more "ooomph" Yeah, I used to use a LOT of Burt's Bees stuff.....too much to list. But for me, the Bay Rum stuff is all I'll ever use again (not the shave soap)
