Check this website for the cheapest Simpson brushes online. Do the comparison yourself you will not be disappointed. http://www.diamondedgeltd.com/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Simpsons_Shaving_brushes_65.html Don't forget that purchasers outside the Europe don't pay VAT 15% and shipping costs are reasonable.
This was brought up across the street and .....well....its not set in stone and not a solid e-store. You email your info and the brush is sent.....very skeptical and shady but very good prices. Apparenty a few folks in UK have had success. Apparently you get a hand written receipt and basically trust is the key. Buyer beware I guess.
Yes...no problem with this retailer. I have bought 3 brushes off him in the past. If someone has had a bad experience with this retailer I have not heard or read about it on any forum at any time ever. There maybe parties happy to indulge in heresay and gossip...and also question my own motives. This is the cheapest brush retailer I have found so when folks are used to paying much more for their badgers they are looking for a reason how this guy could be so much cheaper. Hey guess what he just ain't ripping you off!! If you like paying more for your brush and have a problem with hand written receipts then this retailer is not for you. God forbid you would trust a retailer with your card details. Hopefully the updated site will put potential buyers at ease.
Apologies Queen first sentence for you and then I got carried away with a rant at Fatboy who is just dealing in conjecture.
Queen of Blades here was being thorough of this seller. Which is also looking out for others ahead of time about a seller. I love it here on the shave den of members being informative, watching out for each other, and updates.
Low prices are tempting but sometimes the lesser price is not the best deal. I bought a Simpson Chubby 2 from Lees Razors a few weeks ago. I really liked this brush but unfortunately it developed some problems. Lee is sending me a replacement. I know nothing about Diamond Edge or his service after the sale but I do know that service from Lee is as good as it gets. We all hope we don't have problems but with Lee you know that he is going to be there for you if you need some help. I'll stick with Lee.
Diamond Edge doesn't give the personal service of Jim, Lee, etc. but the service is exceptional, nonetheless. Fast delivery and the quality of the brush is superb. I never had a Simpsons before so I can't compare the quality. However, people who have many original Simpsons brushes say that these Simfixes are equal, if not better, than the original Simpsons. I'm completely satisfied. antdad1969 does seem to be overzealous with his praise but don't let his tone deter you. I have nothing but good things to say about Diamond Edge. Side note: Is "across the street" what we're calling the blue site? Someone referenced that to me before and I had no idea what he meant.
I see customer service being more of an issue with the old Simpsons. With Vulfix standing behind the brushes the need for someone to be there to handle the customer service repair requests is lessened greatly. This way Lee, Jim, etc can spend their time providing great customer service helping us buying products or answering questions instead of getting problems fixed. A big thumbs up to the Diamond Edge as well. Great prices, quick shipping (especially since it is over seas), and well packaged items.
