I have recently added a Simpson Chubby 2 - Manchurian Badger to my collection and the hair density is truly impressive. The brush also has good backbone which easily lathers up soaps.

They may be expensive but I continue to be impressed by this manufacturer’s quality.

I’m in no way affiliated with Simpson, this is merely my humble opinion.

I have a Chubby 2 in both Best and in Super. as well as Chubby 1's in Best and Manchurian. I love them all. If anything, the Chubby 1 Manchurian has too much hair for a smallish brush. It's a bit stiff. Not scritchy or pokey, but the knot wants to stand tall at all times. Small complaint. My Chubby 1 Best is outstanding- of all my Chubbys it is the one I reach for most frequently. I also have a Duke 3 and 2 M7's in Manchurian, and they are absolute delights. All told, I have over a dozen Simpsons, and they've all been great brushes.
