Chanukah yielded a pair of pearl earrings, For Christmas, I got a mini vacuum cleaner I need, to clean the inside of my sewing machine and a pair of cute little teddy bears in ski suits (Marie & Jean-Claude) We had visited my husband’s cousins on Christmas Day. We did not expect any gifts, as we do not routinely exchange gifts with them. But as they open gifts at this gathering and didn’t want us to feel left out, we got some nice little gifts from them as well. These included a couple of bottles of wine, some nice chocolates and a Jelly Belly jellybean dispenser. (They make REALLY good jelly beans!) I am really glad I brought some gifts for them- hand made items including a table runner, I sewed for the hostess, a pincushion for his aunt and lots of my scented candles. (His cousins seem to like those quite a bit.) I must admit I enjoy my hobbies for many reasons, but one of them is the ability to make some nice gifts.
