The Arko lathered nicely. Although the shave went a bit rough. There was no irritation though. After cleaning up I put on the proraso. I think that is what saved my face!

Oh, YES! Finally we can see Jeff with the straight in his hand! :bounce015::happy088:. Happy Easter!
    My Easter Sunday shave:

    8/8 W&B restored by Glen
    Vie-Long horsehair brush
    Tabac SC
    Painted ceramic bowl
    Cold water splash
Nice and smooth! Tabac seems to be a winner for me with straights! Besides, all this shave is a "thank you" for a couple of great guys: the cream was given by Jeff/ crackstar and the razor was given by Jeff/stingraysrock. Thanks, guys!

    Sunday 15th April

    Hot shower and facial scrub
    3P Pre/Post shave
Feather Artist Club RG with a Feather Super pro Blade
    New Forest Tubby 2
    GFT Rose Shaving Cream
    Alum Block
    3 Crowns Rosewater Aftershave milk

Post night duty shave. Was a rough night at work and I am afraid that things didnt get any better. On the Titanic anniversary (I come from very close to Belfast) I had hoped to have a titanic shave. Yes I had a DFS shave......but I didnt enjoy it. The RG is a different animal when compared to the SS , Excelia and CJB. ......perhaps it is the weight. Anyway.....I have enough razors which I enjoy, so the RG may find its way to a new home .

My first go with a shavette was cheeks only 1 n-s 1 e-w. Surpisingly no nicks or weapers. If I would have not done pass 3 with the kona cheeks wouls have been right around acceptable maybe just a little below. Was happy to say as intimidating as it was to hold a blade to my face is this fasion I stood up to the chalange. I think my initail technique was sub par but enugh to not do any real dammage, encouragement for the future definatly.

    Sunday AM:

Pre: Hot Shower, Tabac SC + Glycerin
    Razor: Fat Handled Canadian Tech
    Blade: Supermax Super Platinum (1)
    Cream: European Palmolive
    Brush: Omega 10005
Post: Thayers WH Lemon, Cold Rinse, Clubman AS

This shave was excellent. First shave with this razor, so it took a bit of getting used to, but it was very smooth, and aggressive enough once I got the angle right for me. Came out with a near BBS, and a small bit of irritation, but less than I was expecting. Looking foreward to using this beautiful razor again!
