Shaving like my Dad
This was my Dad's brush, gorgeously restored by reyes_restores. Of course I used it for the first time witn Tabac, one of my Dad's favorite soaps. He would have finished with Aqua Velva, but I went with the matching set. The razor is the same model he used since I was a kid. The razor shaves beautifully, but it does tempt me to use more pressure because it is light compared to my other razors.

Razor: 1947 Gillette Aristocrat
Blade: Astra SP
AS: Tabac Splash and Balsam

I don't know it happened but I caught a bit of a cold so I couldn't smell the Glacial MITA soap, however did I ever feel the monstrous freeze from it. Three passes cleaned me up Dolphin Smooth, the Lucky Tiger balm moisturized and soothed my face so nicely, and the Alcolado Glacial splash felt downright icy. Now I think I'll go lie down for another hour or two.

Two razors, one very cheap Chinese blade. Q-Shave for the beard, R-41 for the head shave. No problems at all with this blade in either razor, near BBS in two passes on the head shave with no dramas. Not the smoothest, but not the worst either (better to me than Personna Red in the R41). Worthy of follow up shaves.
