    Perfect evening shave
Hot water with Nivea men's face wash and a washcloth after a shower
    @oscar11/ omega knot
    Reef Point Test Depth
    Above the Tie Calypso R1
Rockwell razors Swedish stainless steel (2)
    Reef Point Test Depth aftershave
Really diggin' going tho bed smooth as silk and smellin' nice. This setup passes any test I could think of. The omega knot whipped up the reef point to perfection. It was rich and so slick. The calypso felt space age, so light and maneuverable, but rigid and aggressive enough to slide along taking any stubble away. Finished with the matching aftershave.
    This test gets an Ace.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20170822_191140_resized(1).jpg

    MENTHOL MONDAY
    20170822_191235.jpg

    Prep: Razorock Mister Joe
    Razor: Gillette Redtip
    Blade: Perma-Sharp
    Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
    Soap: Soap Smooth War Blend
Post: Peach Thayer's WH, Reef Point Intrepid balm

3 pass shave yesterday morning. Did end up with a bit of irritation on cheeks and neck due to too much pressure. The War Blend soap has just the right amount of menthol and has a light cologne scent, really like the graffic and the big metal tin. The Reef Point balms are excellent products and have been doing a good job repairing any damage thus far.

    TOBACCO TUESDAY
    20170822_191146.jpg

    Prep: Taconic Bay Rum Mentholated
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Perma-Sharp
    Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
    Soap: Ballenclaugh Honey Tobacco
    Post: Soap Commander Fortitude balm

Had a nice 2 pass shave this afternoon. The scent is Honey Tobacco is one of the most unique tobacco scents out there, it has some sweetness without being too sweet, and it has almost a hay type of note to it which pairs well with SC Fortitude. Performance of Ballenclaugh is second to none in my book, very thick creamy lather. Did cause a bit of damage with yesterday's shave so I didn't get as close as I would have liked, but didn't want to make things worse. Hope everyone had a great shave!

I hope you love it. I hated my first shave with mine. In fact, I almost traded it away. However, a post by @Bird Lives convinced me to give it a second chance and I've been in love with it ever since. :happy088:

    Adjustable (Arko) August!!!

    August 22 Grand Blade Trials

    Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (9)
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Tabac
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

Final shave for the Gillette Stainless. Slim on 9, Tabac and the JR46 for no issues lather. Very nice feel to the lather and to the shave as well. Very smooth and the alum was only slightly warmer than the last two nights. Finish was a BBS after two passes and touch up. That's two in a row. No way can this blade be considered anything than top tier. Russian made in St. Petersburg and a long history with Gillette. While it may not have a sexy name or image, it just flat works.

I'll pick a new Gillette tomorrow night and switch up the soap and be ready to roll on! No head shave tonight as my scalp is a bit tender from being under the sun yesterday. Didn't wear my hat because it was interfering with the view. I apparently needed eclipse glasses for my head!

And yes, I'm aware the picture has the Fatboy and not the Slim. I grabbed the wrong one before the shave. Switched before I shaved but decided the picture would work.

Would have liked to see the eclipse reach totality like you did in Boise, but only about 90% as north of Oregon and never got dark just cool twinkly sunlight . . . the eclipse glasses were all sold out in town, so we shared with people around us, but still looked at the sky quite a bit - and so the eyes seem a bit sore . . . but they'll be okay.
