Not too many set-ups are as intensely cold as this one - trust me on that. The Nanny's Ice & a Slice soap is awesome stuff - a gorgeous scent with rich, stable lather and POWERFUL menthol. Countless times, I've described the Diana balsam and the Rubby Dubby Doo needs no description!

 

September already? Yuck.

Nice, close shave. A couple of weepers, which is why I used the alum.

Today's shave was irritation, nick, and weeper free, not to mention BBS. All in all, it was a beautiful way to start a gray day.

It was back to my Super Speed with the 7 O’Clock Blues for a few days. I tried my recently acquired Coate’s Sandalwood Cream this morning. I lathered it in my new “oversize” blue Old Spice Mug. It produced a think, cushioning lather in no time. I had a great, close, smooth, nick and burn free shave. I finished with my Floid Blue sample. Ready to work!

At one time I had a pretty good number of Geneva Cutlery razors but I've PIF'd most of them to newbies. Good shavers, I like them. Nice shave this morning. Have a good one. BTW, I should have a Shavemac DO 1 three band knot showing up today. Dale, no problems with this knot (Semogue) giving up it's lather and it makes a prolific amount quickly.

Summer is pretty much done here. I woke up cold and tired, with no desire for menthol. I had an excellent and very close shave with warm, comforting old fashioned products. Tabac never misses and the Fatip/GSB combo is coming in a very close second to my goto Slant/Feather.

 

"Short Term Duty" - you guys don't call it STD, do ya? We called it TDY - Temporary Duty.

• Brush: Vintage Stanley Home Products restored with TGN 22mm Fan High Density Finest Two-Band Badger Knot
• Soap: Martin de Candre with added menthol
• AS: The Shave Den Iced Violet Patchouli Aftershave with added menthol
• Post: Cold Water Rinse, double splash of aftershave


It is going to be a hot one today in Chicago with the heat index pushing 100°F/38°C. With that being said and knowing that the A/C is not working in the office, I am almost committing blasphemy by adding menthol into the MdC, but it had to be done.

The overall shave was outstanding, two full passes with minor touch-ups and buffing. Thankful the addition of the menthol did not affect the scent of the MdC nor the aftershave, so not only do I smell good, but my face is frozen.

This is the only second time out with the Schick Krona. Had some irritation and a little weeper. I think it is going back in the drawer. Three passes, satisfactory results, but no joy.

Posting from my shave earlier this morning. Got a very comfortable near BBS on 3 passes + 2 neck touch-ups. The mild Crystal blade/Fatboy combo enables me to "chase the baby" a bit. I dare not try that with the R41.

 

That's great Nick, I'm going for 12 on my rebranded Personna this week too!
