Continuing my march into SEptember with another 1912 - the Streamline. I snagged this pristine example with the help of @Billyfergie. It's heavier and the handle has one of the best grips I've used. And the shave? Simply fantastic in every way. A very light touch lets the blade edge just glide along the skin. Those dolphins are really jealous now.

Dirty Deeds Bay Rum & Lime Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Pinaud Clubman After Shave

Second shave with this razor/blade combo and it felt smoother than the first one. Two passes with very little touch up for a really comfortable and smooth BBS shave.

Gem by Personna blade (1st use)
Post Shave: Witch Hazel, Nivea balm and Brut AS

This was the first time I've shaved with this GEM Junior or any GEM Junior for that matter. The wife brought it home for me after a trip out-of-town. Very nice shave.
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

Four shaves into my first month with a DE razor.

    Tonight's shave (UK :)):
    Bull Dog face wash
    TOBS Sandalwood
    Omega 49 boar bristle
    Gillette Tech
    Astra Platinum
    Little bit of alum...
    Proraso After Shave Balm

Sooooo much better than last shave. Thanks to some advice from FaceScraper and swarden43 I paid a little more attention around the neck and did 2 XTG SLIGHTLY upover like a big cross but no ATG this time. Still some irritation (i think from losing the correct angle) but far less blood :eatdrink047:

Definitely great advice to stick to the same set up for 30 days! :happy096:

I thought the 30 day thread this month was for adjustables?

Nope. The 30 day thread is designed for new shavers (or shavers trying dial in a new shaving element) to spend 30 days without changing out gear and work on technique. Lots of veteran shavers are there to help and give advice as needed. The veterans often make "themes" for the month so we can can get out of our comfort zones, try new things, and/or make fun of each other. If you're new to DE's and looking to dial in technique, there is no better place to learn and no better group to help you. I know; these guys changed my shaving experience quickly and radically for the better when I was starting out and struggling.

Ah ok! That's excellent. I will post there in future then. Makes sense... you always need somewhere to make fun of each other :duel:

    A Stirling SEptember

    Blade: GEM stainless
    Razor: GEM Pushbutton
    Brush: Semogue 1520 boar
    Lather: Stirling Grapefruit with menthol
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Grapefruit with menthol aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Enjoyable shave this afternoon. The Grapefruit scent of Stirling is terrific. Lots of depth and not just straight grapefruit scent. Great all-around.

    Enjoy the rest of Sunday!

Old Spice ships from 1973-1976 had 2 flags and an anchor showing off the two bow sails. Not sure if you can see this in the photo, however, I have another decanter that shows it better and I'll point this out when I post it.
