    Menthol Monday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Rapira day 6
Lea Menthol SC :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    444 AS Balsam :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Osage Rub AS :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Polo Original EDT

There's nothing like freezing your face off and enjoying it. The Lea Menthol cream smells delightful and lathers like a maniac. The menthol sensation is even stronger than I realized. The 444 balsam not only gives amazing cooling, it prevents dryness and irritation. I wish the tubes were bigger. The Osage Rub can even numb your hands - that's how cold it is! ;) :D

    Good morning!

Monday's quarter of an hour of Zen in the bathroom:

    Musgo Real pre shave oil
    Calani Dubai shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
    Feather AS-D1 razor
    Feather FH-10 blade
    Bloc Osma Alum
D.R. Harris Bay Rum after shave

Having taken the Feather AS-D1 out of its box again for the 1st time in quite a while last Saturday, I had a very nice shave with it today considering that the razors I have used in the past months (Futur, Vision, Red Tip, OC NEW, etc) have a much wider angle range and I thought I would have a harder time staying focused and disciplined with the Feather. With this I mean to say the aforementioned Merkurs and Gillettes are more forgiving and still shave well even when the right angle is not strictly maintained. The Feather AS on the other hand requires, although still being milder, a much stricter adherence to the effective angle in order to ensure very efficient and thorough stubble removal. All in all, I am very happy with a DFS result.

Wishing you a happy week ahead with many satisfying shaves.

Routine settled in, only 2 quick WTG passes today, got a smooth DFS. I developed some kind of permanent razor burn on a small area on my side cheek, both right and left, exactly in the same place, quite symmetrical. It does not fade during the day and it stays even after I went 5 days without shaving. It does not burn or anything but the skin stays red. I'll skip anything but WTG and see if it stays or not.

Result: BBS on 3 passes. My Tweezerman is my cheapest and scritchiest badger brush, but with the Arko + Tabac face lathering it is producing the most unbelievable lather and face prep for me. I may have to use this combo all week.

    Monday Morning

Sometimes weekends go mighty fast ...

    Pre (Eucerin, warm shower)
    Omega 10083 Pro boar
    MWF
Merkur 37c w/ generic American Personna
Post (Cetaphil, Dickinson's Witch Hazel, cold water rinse)

BBS by means of wtg, xtg, atg, light touch-up above and below jaw-line. Three days in a row for MWF. Will likely use through the entire week ... that's the plan anyway. Merkur 37c today ... just for fun.

How do you like the Badger/Horse mixed brush? which model of Vie-Long do you have? I've got Badgers and Horse hair brushes but not a blended brush.

Vie Long 14160, it's not too bad. A little too floppy for my liking but I still pull it out and give it a run from time to time. The wife loves using it though so I can't complain, and like most of Vie-Longs brushes it was very inexpensive.
