Crowne & Crane Thuringian Forest today. 20 seconds to load the Cowbo Classic/WD Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum Plus in the Black Handle Super Speed. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Bentley Intense EdT.

I love the Electric Sheep soap - it was @Paul Turner who inspired me to use it today. Its scent may be a bit strong, but I find it very nice and thanks to the mutton tallow formula it lathers crazy-rich, with such a good post-shave feel. I splashed on some Polar Ice afterwards, which is one of the best from Booster. Three passes and my mission was accomplished!

SOTD: Kami Tuesday—Kanenaga (兼長) left-handed kamisori; L'Occitane 'Cade' soap, custom Oscar11 boar brush, and a Fine 'Snake Bite' finish. Slow, peaceful and smooth shave this quiet morning. Have a great Tuesday, gents!

This is the 3td of 3 lather catchers I recently purchased. The 1st one (a different Ever Ready) was so aggressive that I couldn't use it. It appears that the comb is bent and it just didn't work for me. #2 is the Gem Jr and it is so mild that a decent shave is impossible for me. This final one did a fine job though it feels a bit aggressive also. But totally usable and I'm ready to go. First time with the Citrus Musk and I like it. So does my bride and that's what really counts. Now go enjoy your day folks.

A very mild shaver indeed. Similar to the OneBlade of course, with the pivot. A very mild shaver, almost too mild with the Rapira blade. 3 passes an a few extra passes on the neck for a close to BBS shave. A sharper blade like a Feather or BiC would probably work better for me. All in all I am impressed and glad I bought it. It won't be a daily driver but I will enjoy trying different blades with it.

Pro's: uniqueness, variety of different blades, ease of use, near impossible to cut yourself, good for a quick or mild shave.

Con's: more like a cart in that it takes some of the fun out of the "art", construction (not sure how long it will last with the mechanics), if you don't like breaking blades you will be limited to the few that produce 1/2 blades.

It's been years and I forgot just how nice a shaver the Lady is. Long yet light, very maneuverable and fairly efficient.

RAZOR: Parker SR1
BLADE: previously used Dorco ST300 (cut in half). I hand stropped this blade before each pass.
PRESHAVE: Cold Cream (not pictured)
SOAP: Hybrid (homemade) Col. Conk AMBER + VDH Luxury
AFTER SHAVE: Aqua Velva MUSK

Great 2 Pass BBS/DFS Shave. BBS everywhere, but a small spot under the chin was not BBS. Noticed this later in the day.
That was close but could have used a touchup (for true BBS).

I rushed this one, done in about 10 minutes, complete. No cuts, no weepers, no blood, no discomfort. VERY NICE!
It was good to use my Parker shavette again. Been awhile. My oldest son just promised to send me 2 100 count boxes of Derby Professional SE blades. Can't wait to try them.
