Veli, you are one of the many guys who enjoy this Gada Cool Mint cream. It is one of my top favorites as well. I cannot think of anyone who I sent it to who does not like it! :)

I'm a country boy at heart as well Ryan. I spent many summers working on my Aunt & Uncles Farms around the Charleston Mattoon area of your State growing up, as well as living on our farm in Missouri. There are some inconvienences living in the country but, that's where I want to be. :happy088:

    Neolithium I am Canadian, eh

Tavelling is the reason I avoid most long handled razors as well, since I fit my 2 months worth of shaving stuff into a soap container which easily crams into a rucksack without taking up space. I discovered I can get a Merkur 37C, Omega Mighty Midget and 2 months worth of blades into there without any effort. I ended up using epoxy to fix a mirror to the inside of the lid as well and it's ideal!

    Hot soak
    Tabac soap
'61 Slim with a Big Ben
'56 Super Speed with a Rapira
    1st 2 passes: Slim
    3rd pass: S.S.

    BBS.

Noticed the Slim is more head-heavy than I recall (but it's been a long while since I had one). Nicely done razor, just not a desirable one for me. The S.S. felt more stable in the hand, somehow.

    Monday 12/17

Pre shave - Hot shower, Store brand Noxima face wash
    Soap - Arko shave stick
    Brush - Tweezerman
    Razor - Quick Twist SS
    Blade - Vokshod
    A/S - Aqua Velva

A fine BBS shave. New Razor, New Blade and New Soap. All from my Secret Santa. The only complaint about this shave is that it was so good I won't get to shave again for 2 more days. Also I think that the tweezerman is starting to shed its last hairs. While face lathering the Arko I noticed that a donut was starting to develop in the very center of the brush. While rinsing I noticed the the knot was starting to seperate as well. For some reason though I love the handle of the brush. It's not the greatest but I love the colors and the size. The Arko shave soap was soo good that for once I thought I had to much lather. After the first pass as I went to rinse my face started to lather again with just the rubbing action from my hands. Def gonna put this into my rotation and probably pick some more up.

Just a quick and gentle shave today. My face was very dry after the long flight and my skin felt a bit sensitive. The Canadian Silver Tech was a good choice as it is a gentle shaver. Just two very light passes today but I still ended up with a DFS result. I can't say enough about the excellent skin care of the Vifrex aftershave gel. Just 20 or 30 minutes after the shave and my skin is already feeling better.

    Cheers, Lyndon

Great BBS shave from the R41,I wont say it was the smoothest, but pretty smooth for a R41.I tried to keep the lemon, rose thing going so I mixed some Pe Re Ja and Rose of Bulgaria in my hand.Pe Re Ja lasts a lil longer than most lemon, citrus scents,it took about 30 minutes for the lemon to fade, now the scent is all rose.Herbs of Bulgaria splashes generally have a very good hang time, even the lavender.

The Shark blades give very good and close shaves but I find them a bit rough compared to the 7 AMs or Rapiras, and also not quite as long-lasting. That Arko Ice Mint cream is to die for - a gorgeous minty/tropical scent, awesome lather, and what a menthol blast. The Svoboda balsam and Alt Innsbruck are plenty cold also! ;) :D

Prep: Brush soaked in warm water, face washed with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser, luke warm shower
    Razor: Candian Fat Handled Tech
    Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless
Brush: VL restored with TGN 22 mm Silvertip
    • Soap: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus with added Menthol
ASB: Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm (the "old" original formula)
AS: Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash of Aftershave

I had to get up earlier than usually this morning to be at the hospital. I wanted this shave to be a memorable one "just in case". Could not think of a better way to go than just a classic fat handled Tech, a Feather, Proraso, my freshly restored brush, and the great smell of Aqua Velva.

I may not be posting any SOTD pics for a few days or so, I just do not know, we will see how it goes today.
