SoS: December 4, 2017 - December 10, 2017

Ohhhhhhhh, did I ever freeze and have fun while shaving - the Glacial MITA soap lathered like a champ and its powerful menthol hit like a ton of frigid bricks. This shave turned out super-BBS and comfortable even with just two passes. The mentholated pre-shave soap definitely makes a big difference because it really softens the stubble and gives a lot of slickness. Its cooling effect is not strong but it's still there and there's no scent. The Rubby Dubby Doo went on damn cold and nice!

Today a three pass homerun. The old boar still makes the mark. The fatboy made me smooth as silk. But the aroma of today's mix seems to be the star element of this shave. The RR and the Veg, outstanding.

Perry - I loved the Fred's Iced New SPice! never seen that - is that a Florida grocery store? is that a mentholated version of the Generic -Old spice - sold in family dollar and CVS wich is the same? if your ineterested I can trade you or send some money for a bottle? I will get u those proline blades soon. I love the family dollar/cvs SPICE and with a menthol kick added it may be the best spice out there

Last night's shave - Really awesome - SUDSY SOAPERY is the BOMB!!! there part of my top 3 artisans now - PAA/CK, Stirling, and Now SUDSY!! they do such a great job - there is NO soap that looks like there's - such a natural scent - and i swear it beats most tallow soaps on greasy slickness and mind blowing post shave - SOAP and BALM are TOP NOTCH!

SCHICK 66 with a Vintage 1974 Plus Platinum on Second shave is really MAGICAL!!! I love this razor and I was lucky enough to get it it NEW With the DUMMY BLADE - so this bad boy is MINT and still PERFECT.

Barbon Cream today. 10 seconds to load the Elite Razor/TGN Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Wilkinson Sword “Light Brigade” NEW Chromium still in the Gillette NEW Short Comb. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Stirling Sandpiper w/Menthol aftershave.

Perry, I was just sent the Jeeves Bay Rum soap, from a gentleman who knows who he is . Smells pretty great, all right!

 

Interesting and unique scent! Quite enjoyable.

Nice BBS shave this morning with the Rapira SS. It had to be a bum Rapira LUX blade yesterday that resulted in a tedious shave. Just received the RazoRock soap & AS. Very strong scent in the soap and splash. Good performers as with all the RR products I've used.

Awesome! Schick 66 is a great razor.

 

Fred’s is a discount pharmacy in our area (Alabama). It’s almost like a general store - little bit of everything! I added some menthol crystals to make it “iced” as it didn’t have any menthol at all in its original form.

It’s probably very similar to the CVS and Family Dollar varieties. I’ll try to pick you up a bottle next time I’m there.
